A thoroughly modern, yet romantically classic scarf. The exquisite lace stitch has lots of texture and movement, yet is quite easy to work. The edges are finished with simple 4-st cables.
Knit on size 9 needles using the sport weight Alpaca Silk yarn from Blue Sky Alpacas, the finished scarf drapes beautifully. Wear it bundled and wrapped around your neck, loosely wrapped and draped around your shoulders, or casually thrown over your outfit.
A great knit piece to relegate your lightweight scarves to the back of the closet.
As with all SweaterBabe.com patterns, this knitting pattern includes lace chart as well as written lace stitch instructions.

I love the pattern and the end result. I made this for a friend who moved to Sweden and will need lots of scarves, hats and warm coats. She was surprised and love the scallop pattern. The pattern was easy to follow. Katherine is to meticulous with her patterns. They are a pleasure to knit!!!
