It’s the thoughtful details that elevate this seamless, top-down cardigan.
To start, the collar is knit in a neat twisted rib with shaping, created by short rows, to give it a tapered curve in front. One Garter stitch ridge is then knit as an accent to separate the ribbed collar from the yoke.
The yoke is adorned with an all-over lace design with eyelet-edged diamond shapes that increase in size as you work down towards the underarms. Meanwhile, the twisted rib continues at each end for the knit-in button bands.
At the underarms, the stitches are split out to separate the sleeves and the body, which are both continued top-down in plain knit.
Before the twisted rib finish at the waist, a small lace border is inserted to echo the diamond lace. The full sleeves are then gathered and finished with twisted rib cuffs.
The yoke lace design is both charted and written out.
