This project is a breeze to make and wear. Simple shaping and big needles make this an ideal first sweater project! Knit in a soft, beautifully marled yarn on size 10 1/2 needles. Only basic knitting skills needed (knit, purl, increase, decrease). Tie-straps are made using a simple chain stitch.
A great introduction to basic sweater shaping and pattern reading. Bottom border is knit in Garter stitch, body in Stockinette stitch, and top borders in 1x1 ribbing. Practice all your basic stitches with this one.
