Woohoo! I've hit pattern number 200! Join this celebration of a milestone with your own Woohoo Pompom Hat – a quirky, fun knit that's quick and satisfying.
Basic cable techniques, with a little unexpected curve thrown in, keep your knitting (and your life) exciting and interesting. Knit this hat seamlessly in the round, beginning with the ribbed band, which then flows right into the cable design.
The hat finishes with a slight slouch, a gently shaped crown, and a fluffy pompom. One size easily fits teenagers to adults and only uses two balls of the Aran-weight yarn or one hank of Malabrigo Worsted.

I like this pattern; it was fun to do. At first it didn't make sense but as I knitted more rows I could see the pattern coming out.

I have now made two of these hats!! I loved the first one, but the second one is even better! I shortened it by only working 4 rows of ribbing (instead of 8) and only working the decrease rows at the top (omitting the rows that didn't include decreases). Both my daughters LOVE them!
