Lots of chunky cables come together stylishly to make this modern take on the fishermans' sweater.
Bulky yarn with lots of softness allows the wide cable panels to stand out, but with an alluring softness. A ballet neckline keeps it feminine.
The dolman sleeves and slightly boxy fit makes this an easy sweater to layer on top of long-sleeve tees or a maxi dress.
This knitting pattern is both fun to knit and wear! Worked on size 13 needles throughout, the design has plenty of cable stitch variations to keep you challenged. Plus, it works up pretty quickly!

I haven't finished the sweater yet, but it is going well. All indications are that it will be a beautiful, stylish, unique, wearable, soft, and appropriately sized garment that I will be able to show off many times! I love the extensive and varied chunky cabling and am delighted to be able to take it on - one would think cables are harder to knit than they really are, although I salute whoever invented these mysterious techniques. This pattern is involving a bit of minor learning for me but all is going well. Thanks so much for making it available! Note, I bought the Drops yarn as recommended and am loving it - one thing, my balls are 90m/98yds not 100m/109yds per the pattern materials list, so I picked up an extra ball to meet the overall yardage described - thanks for all that info.

I absolutely LOVE this pattern! It is fun, stylish and really well written, so even someone who'd never made a sweater or had much cable experience could make this sweater with confidence! It is clear, concise and very easy to follow.
Even alpaca/wool chunky DROPS Andes yarn is ideal for this pattern. It is so soft and luxurious, so along with the ballet neckline, it is just the right amount of girly to a fisherman's style pullover! The fit will flatter any shape.
I chose to make my sweater a bit longer, not because the length was too short, I just wanted a long sweater.
I would definitely recommend this pattern! You will love it!
