Product Description

When a heavy scarf just won't do, grab this gossamer-weight lace scarf instead! The silk/kid mohair blend lace-weight yarn knit on size 9 needles creates a supremely soft scarf.

An open lace panel with gentle peaks along one long edge is contrasted with a bit of garter stitch for lots of textural interest.

This scarf is very light, yet has enough body to allow itself to be draped in many pretty ways.

Wrap it around your neck like a cowl and tuck in the ends, drape it around your neck with the ends drawn through the folded middle loop, or tie it askew with a loose knot – it will always add a nice touch of femininity to your outfit.

PLUS, it's knit from just one ball of yarn. . . making it an ideal gift knit or quick knit for yourself!

ALSO available as part of The Gossamer Lace Collection eBook, which includes 4 Lace Shawl/Scarf patterns

  1. Lace Weight Scarf

Posted by Peggy on 15th Oct 2012

The pattern is easy to follow and because there are only a few stitches it knits up really quickly, I used 2 ply Merino Lace yarn and it looks great. I will make more for Christmas gifts.

  2. lovely

working on this scarf pattern now. Simply lovely it. your patterns are very well written. i love your patterns. keep them coming

  3. really pretty and unique

Posted by penny on 2nd Oct 2012

I made this scarf is some leftover mohair yarn that was worsted weight (trying to use some of my stash). By going down to size 8 needles, it worked. Not shear, but really different than the run of the mill scarf patterns.
I am now making it in a lace weight I found in my stash for myself and love it.

  4. Pleased

The instructions are clear and the scarf is evolving nicely. A thumbs up from me.

  5. Elegant Lace Shawl

Posted by Claire White on 29th Sep 2012

This shawl can be worn many ways and has warmth without being heavy. A great asset to any girl's wardrobe

  6. Just what you wanted

Posted by Debbie G. on 28th Sep 2012

Downloadable patterns are great. But with clear, concise written instructions, as well as a good chart; this one shines. I love lacy scarves, and I love a bit of a challenge, though this isn't too dificult. Perfect for kicking back in the evening and knitting.
