One-ball, big needles, and a few evenings can produce this great knit hat! It's knit in Classic Elite Montera, a long-standing favorite yarn of mine. Choose or find one stashed hank in a vibrant shade to liven up your cold weather wardrobe.
The hat is knit entirely in the round from the bottom up starting with a bold ribbed fold over cuff. The rest of the hat is knit in a simple textured stitch pattern that resembles a cable, but is made with simple decreases and lifted increases. The top of the crown is shaped for a nice fit. This is a great gift knit for both the males and females on your list!

This was a quick knit that has me back knitting cabled hats. Instructions are clear and easy to follow and the pattern lends itself to many different yarns

A well written and charted pattern.

Pattern very well written. Instructions easy to follow. Found it a bit on the small size more for a child. Added another two pattern lengths to make it larger for an adult head. Would make it again.

This is a wonderful unisex project. Very easy and quick. Made one for my (very bald)husband and he loves it! (and he's VERY picky!) The pattern was extremely easy to follow and it was done in a couple sittings watching Netflix.

I needed a simple hat to wear to walk my dog and keep my head warm for the upcoming winter evenings. This was a quick and easy knit that is stylish. I used 1+ skeins (was few yards short so had to break into 2nd skein)from my stash - Nashua Knits Creative Focus Chunky. If you are looking for a quick project or gift, this is one.
