Alpaca silk wrapped once, twice, or even three times around your neck! It's the ultimate in scarf luxury.
This boho lace knit scarf can be worn as an eternity scarf or a regular scarf with the clever placement of clear snaps.
The lace design creates delicate, open scalloped columns along the length of the scarf. The lace pattern is nicely repetitive and easy to learn. The alpaca silk feels heavenly to work with, gliding along so smoothly and creating a scarf with amazing softness and drape.
Give the scarf a half twist, snap the ends together, and wear it as an eternity scarf. There's enough length to wrap it over your shoulder like a shawl, or around your neck two or three times for this season's key look.
Unsnap the ends and wear this scarf looped around your neck for a more classic look.
The silky fringe adds to the boho, carefree look.

Cast on the day after I got the pattern. I gave it four stars because nothing could ever beat your little vest pattern that I have made twice now. Besides, I have to give myself room to go up on the next pattern I get from you. LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that you allowed a way to let it be both cowl and scarf. Your directions RULE!

I've actually just barely started this scarf but it is easy to knit. It's going to be a Christmas present for a granddaughter.

This is a good pattern for someone who has not knitted lace before. I was able to memorize the repeat after the first few times. I would like to try it with some other types of yarn.

Just started working on the pattern. Instructions are easy to follow and the pattern is coming out nicely.

I love this pattern! It's easy to do (especially for someone without lots of experience in lace knitting) and it looks fabulous. It's also easy to modify for drastically different yarns (I'm currently using Alpaca Lace) & it still looks great. I'm so glad I got it since I've been admiring it for a while. I know I'll be making this over and over.

This pattern is great! I love the pattern and it's coming out great! I'm using a deep red / cabernet color and it's lovely. I like how the pattern is both written out and charted for those of us who are chart-illiterate or chart-curious.
I don't like having ads swoop in on me for the very site I'm on (subscribe or something) while trying to type. That's annoying.
Great pattern. Still working on it. I'm sure it will turn out beautiful!

Very easy directions to follow but enough details to keep an experienced knitter interested.

This is such a beautiful design. I just recently got the pattern and I'm now searching for the perfect yarn. I've got it narrowed down to a couple to buy or two yarns in my stash to hold together and knit at one yarn. I've read the pattern a gazillion time and could probably knit it in my sleep when I start it. As all of Katherine's patterns, this one is well written and easy to understand. I would recommend it to anyone. Denise (denisejh@me.com)
