A vest/short-sleeved cardigan that's flattering, chic, cozy, and fun to wear! This one accomplishes all that and more.
It works up fast on size 11 needles from the bottom up in one piece. Bold curving cables run up the fronts and back. The shape is fitted through the waist and transitions into short extended knit-in sleeves.
The button bands are knit in and curved at the bottom. Ribbed armhole edgings are picked up and knit in the round. The cozy shawl collar is picked up and knit, using short rows to give it its nicely curved shape.
A garter stitch border on the shawl collar ties all the design elements together and adds a nice finishing touch. An optional garter stitch belt can be knit to give it extra style points!
Wonderful to wear as a short-sleeved cardigan over a dress or as a vest over long sleeves. A great transition piece for your closet.
