Here is a cardigan (and vest) knitting pattern to top all with its wonderful attention to detail. Bold curvy scroll lace panels (that mirror each other) create a gorgeous statement on the front of the cardigan, extending to the generous collar, which can be worn open as shown or buttoned up to different heights for a variety of moods.
The same scroll lace is repeated on the dramatically textured belled sleeves. Beautiful shaping is accentuated with reverse Stockinette stitch seams on the back, front, and sleeves. The length is just to the hip. Big buttons complete the detailing.
This is the masterpiece you have been waiting to make for yourself! Knit in a popular wool/mohair blend yarn that comes in an amazing range of colors. The bulky weight also makes for a quick knit.
This pattern includes a vest version with garter stitch armhole edgings to replace the sleeves. You'll want to make both versions!
See the blog posts on this cardigan (and tha slightly cropped version, pattern #38), including a stunning one in Noro Transitions yarn!

This has wonderful shaping and can be adjusted relatively easily for non-standard shapes like me. The bottom rolls us, maybe a different edge would help. I've made it with short sleeves and it looks awesome.

Well written, clear pattern that gives a lovely shaped and detailed cardigan. Check the body length before you start, as it can be a tad short for some.

i haven't knit this pattern yet, but i wish the sweater pictured was in a color that would be clearer when the pattern is printed.
