Quite possibly one of the quickest projects on earth! Make a single bat or make a colony of them! OR, make a bat mobile (ha ha ha).
Perfect for Halloween favors or just for decorating. Glue them onto hair clips, clothes pins, or make a game of "pin the bat on the cave (?)" or something cleverer than that by attaching velcro on the back… it's entirely up to you.
A great pattern to use up random scraps of black yarn. Use worsted yarn as shown here to get bats approximately 3 ¾" wide. Or use any sport yarn on hand with a size E hook to get smaller bats. Or use a bulky yarn and size K hook to get bigger bats. Etc., etc…. you get the idea.

... thanks to the adorable bat pin pattern. The little bats (along with pumpkins, ghosts, black cats, and candy corn pins) were big hits with my grandgirls and all of their classmates. Easy to follow pattern and chart. Thanks!

This bat is so cute, thank you. Now for the fun makings, could attach it to crochet items such as amigurumi, trick or treat bags-pumpkins, or make a cute pin. This bat could be used to bring fun-cuteness to just about anything you can think of.

I used your pattern to make Halloween bookmarks for my daughter's class instead of more candy. Easy to follow and quick to make 40 of them on a Saturday afternoon - I slip stitched two together and glues to Popsicle sticks and added googly eyes.

Love this pattern for Halloween crochet. Bats are just adorable. I added tiny glue on wiggle eyes. Love that pattern is so versatile. Big Bats, Little Bats, Medium Bats all from one pattern.
